The Asics Evoride 3 running shoe is a lightweight, fast running shoe with a comfortable upper that’s suitable for everyday and faster workouts. Despite its versatility, it’s also cheap and durable, making it a great choice for those looking for a slightly faster running shoe for their everyday and faster-paced workouts. For speed and low weight, the midsole is thinner so not as much shock absorption, less cushiony, so not the best choice for longer, more comfortable runs

The upper of the Asics Evoride 3 running shoe is made from a highly breathable Jacquard mesh fabric. The upper is soft, flexible and holds the foot very well, giving a secure feel for faster runs. The tongue is thin, which is a change from previous versions, it is still not fixed but not prone to slipping. The heel section is moderately stiff and well cushioned, holding the foot well. The shoe is more suited to those with thinner feet, as the forefoot is a bit narrow.

The midfoot of the Asics Evoride 3 running shoe is made from the brand’s FlyteFoam foam, which tends to be stiffer but responsive and flexible, so it’s definitely more suited to faster runs. The Evoride 3 GUIDESOLE features a midsole design, which means the outsole has a curved design that helps it roll over quickly and smoothly. This sole geometry can feel a bit distracting at slower speeds, but at faster speeds it’s quite pleasant and helps to maintain pace. The midsole isn’t very high for today’s running shoes, so it’s not the ideal midsole for longer runs or slower, more comfortable runs, but it’s not what this shoe is for. For those who have run in previous versions of the EvoRide, the 3rd generation will feel softer and more comfortable, but even so, the EvoRide 3 is more about performance than softness.

The outsole of the Asics Evoride 3 running shoe covers the midfoot well, almost running along the edges but not over-stiffening the shoe. It doesn’t wear quickly, it’s durable, and the outsole is thicker in the most used part of the heel to make the shoe even more durable. The outsole also provides good grip at faster speeds.

Over all, the Asics Evoride 3 running shoe is a not too expensive, fast and versatile shoe. Lightweight with good breathability and a very comfortable forefoot. It’s not the best choice for longer, slower runs as it tends to be thinner and more sensitive in the midfoot, but faster runners with good running technique can use it up to marathon distances.
