The carbon plate in the middle of the foam is curved, which gives the shoe extra flexibility and dynamism. The curved midsole geometry helps you roll over quickly and efficiently. The shoe features New Balance’s Energy Arc technology, which means that in addition to the curved carbon plate, there is a large hollow section in the middle of the midsole along its length. These two solutions make energy transfer even more efficient.

The outsole of the New Balance SuperComp Trainer v2 running shoe only covers the midsole in places where the shoe is subjected to higher stress, with 2-2 rubber strips on the heel and forefoot.
