Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 running shoes
8.5/10 (Expert Score)Overall, the Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 running shoe has been improved over its predecessor. It has more dynamism, it’s better to race in. It’s optimized for performance, so the upper isn’t as comfortable, but in return it’s lightweight and has good breathability. It has improved stability, better energy dissipation. Recommended for fast and shorter runs (5-10 km). Slower or longer runs are not a strong point of the Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 0 running shoe, so it may not be the best choice for beginner runners.
Description
The Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 running shoe is a fast running shoe for shorter distance races. It is very lightweight and every part of the shoe is optimized for performance. The sole and upper are designed for shorter runs of 5-10 km, so it is not an optimal running shoe for longer distances (half marathon, marathon). There are some changes from the previous version, but the character remains the same, a light, fast shorter distance race running shoe that can be used for faster paced or part distance running workouts.
Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 upper

Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 Running Shoe Upper
The upper of the Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 running shoe is made from a thin mesh material that has good breathability. The lightweight mesh material is made of a slightly stiffer, rougher material, it rubs against the skin of the foot more easily than average so it’s worth choosing a sock that will protect against this. The upper has a narrow design, so it’s not a good choice for a wide foot, but it keeps the foot well and tightly in place, which is essential for a fast running shoe. The tongue of the shoe is very thin, which is prone to shifting. The heel collar is also thin, but two small cushions help to provide a better and comfortable fit and foot support. The heel collar has a fold-down thin upper to help pull the shoe on. To ensure good foot support, Adidas also uses “Slinglaunch heel” technology in the Takumi Sen 10, which is a highly visible outer layer (this has the Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 lettering on it) from the middle of the shoe to the stake of the heel collar, and its function is to better hold the heel.
Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 midsole

Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 Running Shoe Midsole
The Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 Running Shoe Midsole is made from Lightstrike Pro foam, just like the previous version. It also has a lower than average midsole, 27mm in the front and 34mm at the heel. Lightstrike Pro is a lightweight, flexible foam with good shock absorption, lightweight and slightly stiffer than average with this below average height. The innovation of the midsole is that the fibreglass rods have been improved, they are no longer just under the toes, but extend to the heel, this is ENERGYRODS. Thanks to these changes, the dynamic performance of the Takumi Sen 10 has been improved, making it easy to pick up speed. As the midsole is not high, it does not offer enough support and shock absorption over long distances, so it is not the best choice for longer runs over 15km. The lower midfoot design is good for stability, but the Takumi Sen 10 running shoe not only has a low midfoot but also a narrow midfoot, which is not good for stability. The ENERGYRODS, on the other hand, make the shoe stiffer and more stable and overall the stability of the shoe is not bad.
Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 Outsole

Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 running shoe cleat
The outsole of the Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 running shoe is articulated, as in previous versions, and consists of 3 different sections. Under the toes is a thicker Continental rubber, which has good traction and because it’s thick, there’s no problem with wear. The other two layers are thinner and can wear out more quickly. The larger part runs from the heel all the way down to the toes, the other is on the inside of the heel. The outer rubber coating is also a clear indication that the shoe is made primarily for runners who hit the ground on their toes (which is where the Energyrods have their greatest impact).
