It probably goes without saying that the Puma brand is named after the same brother and sister duo as Adidas, Adolf and Rudolf Dassler. The two brothers separated in 1948 and it was then that Rudolf created the Ruda brand, which he soon changed to Puma.

Over the past few years, Puma has completely overhauled its products, developing new technologies. Years of research have resulted in 5 new styles and product lines - Deviate, Deviate Elite, Velocity, Liberate and Eternity - all of which incorporate the latest in supercritical foam technology, NITRO. The new Puma running shoes feature cutting-edge technologies, such as NITRO foam, to make the shoes extremely lightweight and responsive for a less energy-intensive and comfortable run.

The Puma Deviate NITRO Running Shoe is a versatile high-performance running shoe The Deviate features two layers of lightweight NITRO combined with carbon fiber INNOPLATE.

The Puma Deviate Nitro Elite is a running shoe, redesigned for explosive, race-day momentum. The carbon fibre INNOPLATE arm works as a heel for maximum energy transfer to the toe, while the NITRO ELITE foam provides maximum cushioning that doesn't weigh the foot down.

The Puma Liberate NITRO keeps your foot lightweight with a lightweight ride. The one-piece NITRO midsole provides just the right amount of cushioning with great responsiveness for tempo runs and racing. The Liberate is designed to be extremely lightweight with a low midsole height, strategically placed PUMAGRIP outsole and breathable monofilament upper.

We could compare it to other features in the Puma running shoe line, but the first three are enough to prove that Puma means business and is once again launching very high-performance running shoes.
